Autobiographical reminiscences by Reverend Kellogg recalling his childhood in early Milwaukee, various commercial ventures, activities at Milwaukee's Spring St. Methodist Church which he attended, student years at Lawrence Institute in Appleton, Wis., in 1851-52 and Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., in 1855-58, and his 1858 marriage. Also present are several letters, 1886-1915, to Kellogg from various bishops of the Methodist Church.

From a small beginning in May 1932, the Methodist Crusaders Choir, then with 75 choristers, was hurriedly formed and made its first public appearance at the General Conference Meetings of the Methodist Church of Australasia. It is primarily a hymn-singing choir, and the devoted members feel that the main purpose in their coming together is to spread the gospel message of the Church by means of song.
